I have come to another end of an 8 week class schedule for the Adventures in Art classes I've been teaching. hurray!
I am blown way for the second time now with what the children have accomplished and a feel a great sense of pride in them and myself for being an agent in their learning and acquiring new techniques. Now for the rest of the day I will run around like a chicken with my head cut off organizing tonight's art show.
So far all the extra furniture and toys that can be moved have been and the bare basement is ready for all the artwork to be put up. I still have a few more things to mount ( I mount everything on black bristleboard that I can reuse for further projects)
I'm excited to see it all put up together this time, as the work is a higher calibre, and there is more than double the number of students, so the body of work is more varied and thus puts on a more interesting show. My only fear is that everyone will actually fit in my house!!!!!!!
I love that you do this Ashley! Love it! If only we lived closer I'd have my kids in your art class in a second (haha, when they're older I guess)! Can't wait to hear how the art show went.
